While visiting the Exotic Feline Rescue Center in central Indiana, I made friends with this beautiful tiger. It was a challenge to get good shots since we were separated by a chainlink fence, but that's the beauty of art, I can take creative license with all aspects of a photo.
Technique
Charcoal is not something I've worked with a lot but it is fast becoming a favorite. I used both powdered charcoal for the larger areas and charcoal pencils for the details. Despite the mess, I love the results and want to experiment more with different papers. This one is on 100% cotton, hot press watercolor paper and it worked well.
