Brilliant Pink Ruffled Daylily

The Story

There are so many Daylily varieties and colors. I take many pictures of them each year and marvel at their beauty. I decided it was time to do a painted series.

Technique

Watercolor on Canvas! A rather unique technique. It's a little tedious since the color sits on the surface rather than absorbing like it does on paper, and if you try to layer another color over the first color, they will blend or completely lift and dissolve. The advantage of painting watercolor on canvas? After I seal it with wax, it's ready to hang even without glass or even a frame. But a frame does give it that elegant finished touch!

Additional Notes

• Sealed with wax, no glass needed
• Available in a white floater frame for local pick-up or unframed for shipping
