Do What Makes You Happy! Good Habits for Bad Times.

Wow, we're half way through November already! Into the big holiday season time. Certainly will be a lot different than past years, but I'm confident we humans can adapt.

If you're like me, this year has been a bit stressful (a bit? ha, how about a LOT!).

My solution - Start new habits that help me relax.

My new habit I'm most excited about is Nature Journaling. Not just pretty pictures but deeper observation, study and research. If you're a nature lover too, you might want to try it. Really all it takes is curiosity. You can sketch, paint, doodle or just write, it's entirely up to you.

Recent Spreads from My Nature Journal

Some pages are unfinished and that's OK. I like the idea of adding to a page gradually over time to reflect a different time of day, weather changes or even a different season.

With winter coming it will be interesting to observe nature and find interesting subjects, without having to stand in the snow!

If YOU are interested in trying this habit, here are some good resources.

YouTube: Just search Nature Journaling, you'll find a lot!

My favorite book: The Laws Guide to Nature Drawing and Journaling

Facebook Group: Art Journaling Club ALL levels are welcome. (by the same author as the book)

I'm thinking about sending a "Nature Art Journal Newsletter" each month to talk more about this addictive habit. I may even include a fun download. If you like this idea, give me a shout "YAY NATURE"!

Do you have nature lover friends that might be interested?

Give them this URL to join my list. http://starglowstudio.faso.com/email-newsletter

Happy Thanksgiving!

Till next time,
